Anatomy scan at 14 weeks?

At my first ultrasound on Tuesday, my OBGYN scheduled my anatomy scan for 14(+2) weeks. i was wondering if anyone else has experience with it being done so early? Will they be able to determine gender so early?

I had an anatomy scan at 12 weeks then again at 20 weeks with my son. 
I’m high risk with this one so I’ve had a scan every week so I’m not sure if they would’ve done it the same way this time or not

I just scheduled mine yesterday, I'm 15+2, and the lab tech said they don't do them before 18 weeks. I'm having mine when I'm 18+1. I've been told the results are more accurate when you do it 18-20 weeks. I don't know why they'd have you do it so early, that seems strange

18 weeks is when it typically pretty clear on ultrasound to determine arc for sure but most don't usually have that scan till 20 weeks or so.
