So I'm 14 and the guy I'm dating is 23,9 years difference. Is it bad for me to be dating him?We met online and my parents don't know and its getting harder and harder to keep this big of a secret. Should I tell my mom about him?

It’s bad because its illegal. If you where of age, and he was the same amount of years older, it wouldn’t be bad because you’d be an adult making your own decisions. Right now, he’s a pedophile. You’re way too young for him, and you need to realize he’s way too old for you right now, you’re both on completely different levels of life. Plus the fact you met online, he could be way older than what he told you, you honestly don’t 100% know this guy and know what his full intentions are. You should really break it off with him, tell your mom if you want, but really if you have a thing for older guys, save it for when you’re legally able to be with them

Sweetie you're 14.. A normal, healthy adult wouldn't feel comfortable dating someone that young. myself have always been interested in older men, even when I was your age I was interested in men that age. But now I understand, I grew up without my father and craved male attention, specifically from older men. Now I don't know your situation, but I can relate. So please take some advice from someone who has been in your shoes, cut that relationship off. 1st off you have no idea who he really is, people get catfished all the time, and he could be in his 40s or 50s! Its actually dangerous sweetie! And your family would be devastated. Because they love you and want to protect you. Don't continue with this. Because some men are really good a grooming girls your age, and being super nice.. but that's how girls go missing and sometimes end up getting killed. It happens. so please don't. Find a cute boy around your age!

agreed, illegal. If he can wait for you and you guys strictly be friends with no sexual talk then o can see that being okay. my fiance and i are 11 years apart. I would be grossed out if my fiance tried to snatch me up before being of legal age when i am an adult. plus older you get the less naive you are and more aware of what you want in someone.
