How did you make your birth plan?

Did you use a specific website or app to help create your birth plan?

my Doula asked me what my birth plan is. I said "to have a baby. Healthy preferably. And to survive it." 😂 she thought it was the funniest thing she had ever heard. I've seen too many friends make such a specific birth plan only to have a wrench thrown into the mix and be forced to take a different path causing SO much necessary stress.

you don't lol....it ok to have some things that you want, like maybe you favorite CD playing, or knowing for sure that you do/don't want an epidural.  but don't get into specifics or get to detailed, because the birth is gonna happen on the babies terms. there are just so many variables that the doctors don't have time to worry about witch laboring  mother wanted what color reciving blanket.

Birth plans are pointless. Atleast where I am- the drs dont respect it or follow it. 😡😢

Pretty sure my only birth plan is going to be "except in an emergency, my midwife needs to ok any hospital staff coming into the room". I work at (although not for) the hospital, and privacy is important to me. The stuff I care about is already routine where I work so I don't need to write it down. 
But really, talk to your provider about what they recommend. SO many things that end up on the website/app created birth plans are very out of date and include things that just aren't done anymore (enemas, routine episiotomies), or are already standard practice (immediate skin to skin, delayed cord clamp, etc).

Never made one. Too many variables to have  set plan.
