F*ck shit up and ask questions later. If he didn't know that I know, I'd start making his life a living hell. I'd put laxatives in his milkshake, hair remover in his shampoo, drive his car through some pot holes to mess with his wheel alignment, rub poison ivy on his clothes to give that asshole dermatitis... All the while I'll be saving up some money to get out. Once he breaks down over the shit that's been happening to him, I'll serve him divorce papers. Call me immature or petty, I don't care. F*ck with my heart, I'll f*ck with your life.

None of these. Fucking talk to him. Calm yourself and then talk to him to get to the root of it. Communication is the best thing in the world and we always abuse it because "what he did hurt me too much, I don't want to see him" fine, be mad, but then confront it. Don't run away, don't do what he did because he won't feel bad about it, don't just hit him. You don't have to stay, I wouldn't. Its at least worth it to understand why it happened. His choices are his fault, but it may stand within both of your hands if he's felt neglected and like someone else made him feel like he was attractive. (Same goes for women) there are a lot of reasons for cheating, none of them are good reasons, but you should probably know how you fall into it too. Its just not one of your faults. Relationships take you both, which means you both have to care for it.
In other words, TLDR, communicate with him, and don't argue when he says he felt neglected or something else. You don't have to stay but don't be a drama queen about it and don't get physical. Find someone you can stay with until you either work it out or split up.

I had a panic attack while sat with the laptop on my lap reading the messages. I sent him a short text saying I was angry and wanted to talk when he got home from work. I cried a lot. I'm slightly ashamed but I couldn't cope sat there alone waiting so called my best friend and she came over and we talked and watched bad tv.
When he got home I asked if he had anything he needed to tell me. We talked about it then went to bed (he got home at about 5am so this was all at a stupid time at night and I was exhausted) In the morning we talked some more and I went and cried in the shower. Had another panic attack when he shared a new detail. 
I took the next day off work and we spent it together, talking a lot but also just almost going back to normal and just being with each other. It took me a few weeks to properly get over but trusting everything he told me was exactly what went down I chose to give him a second and final chance. 
That was a few weeks ago and we are okay and back to normal again pretty much.
