OB/GYN

I am going to an OB/GYN for the first time soon because I asked my primary to refer me to someone because my SO and I have been TTC. and the doctor who did a pap smear said its because I'm fat and need to go on a diet. he called her stupid. anyways, he has had 2 kids from previous marriage kids are 7 yrs apart. We have not been able to conceive for quit sometime. Can you guys help me out on what to ask the doctor and how its going to be? I just feel helpless because I would love to be a mother
