When did your little one start sitting unsupported?

I wanted to start BLW but at over 6 months my baby still doesn't sit unsupported.. so I've started feeding him purees on and off.. 
Want to compare notes - how are your babies sitting up and what do they eat?

My daughter started sitting unassisted at 5 months. I started purees at 6 months.

We started purees and 5 months and he started sitting up shortly after. By 6 months he was sitting really well so we started doing baby lead weening and let him hold and mash food which he loved.

my daughter didn't start sitting unsupported until about 6 months but we started cereal (oatmeal not rice) at 4 months when her Dr gave us the green light. as long as they have good head control and lose that tongue thrust reflex you should be fine starting purees. any concerns about feeding or milestones should always be brought up to your pediatrician.

Right before 5 months for my son, he is almost 6 months and doesn’t like baby foods he likes oatmeal and his formula

My daughter didn't sit unsupported until about 7/8 months with PT. It's why we started going. She was extremely hyper mobile(double jointed). 
She crawled at 10-11 months when we learned she needed glasses desperately. And she also got ear tubes for recurring ear infections. 
She is almost walking at 15 months now. 
I'd consult a PT, just to see what they think.
