Early baby!

Alexis Mae arrived at 2:13am on 4th october 2017 3 weeks early (duedate 25th oct) weighing a very healthy 7.2 pounds 21.5 inches long.

Waters broke on sunday 1st and contractions started but were irregular so was induced on the 3rd due to risk of infection from waters breaking.

Contractions were coming thick and heavy so opted for the epidural after 7 hours no pain relief. Epidural did not work so had to labour with gas and air. Wasnt dilating very fast and was only at 3cm by 10pm so was told i would probably be having a c section but they would give me 2 more hours to dilate. Within half an hour i felt like i wanted to push so they checked and i was fully dilated and she was ready to come out.

Was cut and forceps used and also got a second degree tear, so i am in agony today.

Seeing her it was all worth it! We have to stay in hospital for 24 hours to be monitored as i lost alot of blood and we both had high temperatures.
