Low-lying placenta and other complications.
Found out yesterday at 16 weeks I have a low-lying placenta. I was currently seeing both my ob and a midwife but after this news my midwife wasn't comfortable continuing care (even tho it's still early and it could correct itself) as the likelihood of me needing an emergency c-section is high. I understand but just bummed. My ob said I could still try for a vaginal birth even if it doesn't correct itself as it's not over my cervix at all but my boyfriend is pretty freaked out by the whole thing and wants me to schedule a c-section. I'm not sure what I want to do yet. My ob said we don't have to start talking about this stuff until 28 weeks when they recheck my placenta to see if it's moved so I have time. On top of this I've been getting infections for no apparent reason (bacterial vaginosis at 11 weeks, Currently being treated for a UTI, also fainted at 14 weeks and had to get six stitches in my chin), all these complications led to me dropping out of college which was a bit of a bummer but was the best choice. Am I the only one that feels they were not built for pregnancy?! This has been so hard on me. But holy shit I'm building a human! We're all building humans and we're freaking amazing! Can't wait for this little baby, love them so much already, but can you be a little nicer to mama 😫🙈💜
