Wait time

AF is scheduled today, but I've been TTC for a few months. Yesterday I peed like 3 times as I usually do, so I got my hopes up. I woke up probably a little before 8 this morning because of course I had to use the bathroom. When I woke up a couple hours later, I was too anxious and decided to take my last hpt in the house. But of course I see nothing 😭. Is there a chance I just took the test too early?? I'm not sure how long you're supposed to wait to let the hormones build up to register a BFP.
