Brown discharge before period??

Question

I have always been pretty regular for my period. Usually a day or 2 from what the app says. I have noticed in the past maybe 6 months a day or 2 before I start I get a brownish discharge that isn't even enough to wear a panty liner. Just notice it when I wipe. I am slightly concerned since it's something I've not noticed until more recently. Any ideas why this started?? I have not been sexually active in almost a year.

Would it cause problems later when trying to get pregnant? As far as ovulation?

I usually get this before my period starts and it is old blood from your last period

I would ask your gyno just to be sure but I don't think so. I have it every time before my period. My fiancé and I have just started trying after stopping for a couple months. I don't think it has anything to do with your ovulation because it is just blood that didn't exit your body when you had your period so it will be the first blood to come out on the next one .
