Does this mean I'm not ovulating?

This is my first month of TTC and I'm extremely confused. Since the second line is darker ( the reference line) does that mean I'm not ovulating? Or does a faint line indicate that I'm ovulating soon? Please help!

It's negative. The test line has to be darker or as dark as the control like. Keep testing.

test line needs to be as dark or darker then the control line. the test line will always be light until it's darker.
