ovulation testing

i came if the pill 7 months ago and we have been trying to concive our first child, we went for the trying but not trying aproach. but its been 7 months now and the longer i wait the more i want a little person inside me, so we have decided to try and track ovulation. the first step i tane was downloading this app, i have seen and read about woman using ovulation test and was just looking for some tips, advice or hint on how to get started? thankyou in advance x
