Are your pets extra affectionate and protective of you when you're pregnant?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and for the past month, my 2 cats have been super affectionate and clingy towards me. They were affectionate before, but not nearly as much! They both love to sleep on me, follow me around the house, and one of them even kneads my belly. He isn't declawed so it's a bit uncomfortable, but I find it adorable! My husband, on the other hand, hasn't been getting any special treatment from them. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their pets. Btw, my cats are both boys and both indoor cats.
