How much was your first ultrasound?

My husband is hopefully getting a new job soon, but for the time being, I’m on a really crappy, high deductible insurance. With my son, I had amazing insurance and got a first trimester screening and a transvaginal dating U/S at 7 weeks.

My first appt with the midwife for this one isn’t for two more weeks (I’ll be 10 weeks) said they said a first trimester/dating u/s was optional but I could schedule one if I wanted for peace of mind. And boy, do I want some peace of mind. I’m dying.

Would any of you who paid out of pocket for that first ultrasound mind sharing how much it cost?

I’m in a mid sized midwestern town if that helps at all.
