When I was a nanny I got paid $15/hr and was reimbursed for gas anytime I had to take children anywhere (pick them up from school, after school activities, etc.). I cleaned up after the children from the messes they made during the day, but not after the entire family. I did , on a few occasions from a few families, get asked to come in on my off day for extra pay to do other duties, like organize garages, gardening, etc , but I usually got paid more for that , around $80 for the day, but it was only a few times a month that I would take on those tasks.

I have had offers to nanny for some people, but as a college student, I don’t have the availability. I will say, people really want to underpay. As someone with 5+ years of experience in childcare, people have offered me $30 a day, $20 a day, and the absolute worst, $80 a week. I would never do that, I charge $12 an hour for babysitting, and nannying is that plus more. Smh, parents.

Depends on where you live. I charge $15 an hour for one and $18 an hour for 2+. I do all cleaning, cooking, and errands so parents don't have to do anything when coming home!

When I nannied I watched a 2 year old Tuesday-friday for 6 hours. I made her breakfast, lunch and snacks and did her laundry and some light house cleaning. They paid me $12 an hour.
