Help something in dogs eye??😪😭😭

I noticed this when I got home my mother in law Dog has one always has my dog didn’t have one and I jus noticed it doesn’t seem to bother her but I’m worried I don’t know what this is

Sometimes it's just due to an irritant but it can be more serious. give it a day or two unless it's bothering him. otherwise, see a vet.

It is pretty common for dogs that have big eyes (pugs etc.) and little faces. It can go way by itself, if it keeps happening there is a surgery:)

it is called cherry eye, you can gently massage it in circles counter clockwise moving towards the nose in a slightly upward manner to make it go away. Massaging it will make the membrane move back into the correct place at the bottom of the eye and you'll be able to tell pretty much immediately once you get it back into place. if it comes back you can massage it away again but if it's happening constantly you might consider getting it surgically removed. My dog gets a cherry eye maybe once a year and I massage it back into place and we move on, it hasn't been a major problem for us and now it takes me only a few seconds to fix although it took me several minutes the first time I had to do it. they call it cherry eye and it typically needs surgery in order to fix it. it is a pricey surgery but once he has it, it wont come back.
