48 hours and fever is worse

MY 10 month old has had a fever for almost 48 hours straight now. I took him to the doctor earlier today but as usual he didn't do much beside tell me it's probably a virus and to let him ride it out so long as it doesn't go pastv5 days. He also said I can use Motrin or Tylenol which I had already started using. Well, his fever is getting worse and it's getting close to reading 105°f. His doctor saud 105°f is still okay and to nor stress. But my poor kiddo is so miserable and I fell terrible because I can't make this fever go away. 😢😢😢
