anyone with colastasis?

I've been so itchy lately. Sometimes it even disrupts my sleep. a friend brought up getting my toxin level tested, but I also know pregnancy itself can cause itchiness. What other signs should I look for? She said she had a hard time convincing her OB to test further.

Women with ICP often complain of itchiness increasing at night. If it is waking you up, it is not normal skin irritation. You should be checked.

Talk with your doctor.  I've had it with my last 2 pregnancies (severe itching) and they have tested me and all labs were fine. Even did a 24 hour urine.  My OB told me to take Benadryl and it helps a lot.   When the itching starts I take 1.  He told me it was very safe to take while pregnant.   So speak with him/her.

I just got tested for this yesterday. As soon as I said I had been itchy on my feet and hands, palms too, and everywhere else, they ordered the blood work and an NST. I haven't gotten my results yet, but I will say I've also had referred shoulder pain and the clay colored stool that can be associated with it. Definitely talk to your doctor!

Sometimes there are no signs. Itchiness can be the only symptom and it can be very mild. But some not all, but some women experience dark urine and upper right quadrant pain. I only had mild itchiness. I would demand you hsbe your bile acids checked and if they come back normal to be checked again later.
