My hair is very very thick and long. Washing it is literal torture, so I usually wash once a week or sometimes even once every two weeks, as it takes a while to get greasy anyway.

Every day. My hair and scalp are super oily and not washing it makes it nasty. I've been to a dermatologist who has said every day is fine, and even the stylist I saw recently said my hair and scalp are very healthy.
Not washing for 1 day it feels very oily. 2 days it starts feeling tacky. 3 days and it looks like someone poured olive oil over my hair. I cannot "train" it because my job requires cleanliness; I can get sent home and written up for not being clean

What is considered washing? Lots of black women with natural hair do not shampoo wash or do so once a month or longer. so does this question mean conditioner wash? I co wash weekly and water only wash around mid week

I wash it everyday. I used to wash it every other, but when I started working in a daycare, I decided I didn’t want boogers, spit and other substances in my hair for more than just that day.🙄

I normally wash it on Saturday’s & Tuesday nights. I work Wednesday - Friday and can’t be bothered washing it during the working week, since it has to be in a bun and my hair goes all weird when I take it out.
