Positive? Ovulating? Pregnant? I don't understand my body

Update: I think I'm ovulating now and not before! Took another opk and it is darker than the last one and the darkest one I've ever had this month. Plus (sorry for the tmi) but there's an insane amount of CM- like more than I've ever seen in my life... I guess it's time for me to jump my husband when he gets home from work LoL

I posted this in a different group but decided to pose these questions here.

I'm on cd 26 and I got a positive opk. I took it for the hell of it. I thought I ovulated on cd 13?? I also took a pregnancy test and it was negative or a squinter line but nothing definitive....

What's the deal with the LH surge around pregnancy anyways?? I would love to hear some insight for people with experience in this?
