Well, October 12th I was 39 wks and 2 days, so did what the doc ordered

Well, October 12th I was 39 wks and 2 days, so did what the doc ordered. Walked amd sat on a birthing ball. I went on a 2 mile walk with my 2 yr old that early afternoon and had about 12 consistant contractions spaced apart differently. I thought" today could be the day if these continued!" I was right. My husbamd came home from work at 530pm, I've been laboring with my hypnobirthing you tube and book skills. I wasnt convinced i was in labor so I told my husband 10pm we will go to the hospital at 10pm. While using a contraction counter it was evident i was in labor!!! We drove to the hospital and srrived at 1015pm Oct 12th. I was checked and the Nurse said "i can feel your bsg of waters? Let me make sure and have another nurse check you." Here comes in another nurse and verified i was at a 9cm dialted. So go time on there part!! My doc was called and it was time to help aid our sons head further. Oh was it a long 4 hours of pushing, repositioning to aid my son to not be sunny side up, and the pain was indescribable. My goal was to have an all natural labor. After being unsuccessful to deliver after the first round of pushing i was asking for pain meds or bath tub for relief. I was denied until. 3rd time was a charm, my doc okayd and epidural and that made all the difference for my mind to keep breathing, relaxing amd ready to birth. Milok Andrew Shimko made his appearance at 213am Oct 13th weighing in at 9lbs 4 ounces amd 20 inched long. I was sooo relieved and filled with Joy!!!!
