dating

so me and my boyfriend have been together a year now and I noticed sometimes I feel like I'm acting more like a wife than a girlfriend and I don't know if that's offsetting to him. and it's weird that he shows more affection towards his cats than me and I find myself getting jealous of these cats. we are also trying to currently to make a child and I feel like I'm the one more into this than he is even though I didn't want kids until I met him and that was one of the stipulations for us to start even dating is to have children. Am I losing my mind?
