my boyfriend makes me give him my phone every hour to make sure i’m not going behind his back and cheating. he hasn’t always been like this. my ex texted me a few months ago but i didnt respond and he got upset with me because he clearly didn’t know the whole story. he doesn’t care. but i love him. idk we’ve been together for almost 2 years.

It truly depends on what you want but I would suggest honest and deep communicating and even going to couples counseling. He definitely needs to trust you and respect you not only for your relationship but for himself as well, I’m sure being worried and paranoid will eventually wear him down as well. But also keep in mind how uncomfortable it may be for him knowing your ex can contact you so easily. I hope things work out for the best for you guys!
