How long did you wait to start ttc after mc?

I had a mc 9/14 @6wks. Af started 10/15. Thought about ttc this cycle but should I wait til I have 1 more period?

I’ve done extensive research on this and apparently doctors only tell you to wait 1 cycle for dating purposes and to give you time to emotionally heal. Of course there are exceptions to this, like if you had an ectopic and needed the shot, etc. 
My advise to you is you do what YOU feel comfortable with. 
I had an ectopic in August and got pregnant less than 3 weeks later. Unfortunately I just miscarried that baby yesterday at almost 7 weeks, but again we will not be waiting to try again. 
I will say that for me, this is only my experience, but it helped me emotionally heal by focusing on getting pregnant again. I feel that if our babies can’t make it the first time, they attempt again.

Fist time I had a miscarriage was about 11 weeks baby measured 10 weeks (had not heart beat when i when to apt)  had a d&c; doctor said wait 2 cycles. Waited 2 cycles got pregnant had another miscarriage between 6-7 weeks. Doctor then said wait 3 cycles. Now time to try again FINALLY!!! It's been a long 3 months

We started TTC as soon as the bleeding from my miscarriage stopped (I was 5-6 weeks). I got pregnant again right away, without waiting a cycle. As long as there is no medical issue concerning your doctor, try again when you're ready.

It’s up to you and how you feel. Some docs say waiting after 3 months is better for everything to heal. There are new studies that show if you TTC within the first 3 months after MC, you have a higher rate of having a full term pregnancy than if you wait to TTC after 3 months. But honestly its just personal preference. Do what you feel is the best for you.

I specifically asked this question to the doctor in the ER after my miscarriage and she said as soon as my HCG level was back to the non-pregnant range (below 6). I got another blood test 48 hours later and was at a 2 so we started trying again right away.

Had a D&C; on Friday after a mmc @ 7 weeks. We conceived 1 month after IUD removal, I think I should’ve waited until getting back on my regular cycles, apparently Mirena works by thining the lining of the uterus, so I think maybe this had to do with why we miscarried. I plan to wait until I get at least 3 cycles before trying again, just to be on the safe side. Do what you feel is right for you. Good luck & sorry for your loss.

I had a D&C; yesterday at 12 weeks with our first. We’re not going to wait and are going to ttc as soon as I get the all clear from the dr in about two week.
