bible scripture: And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.
Joshua 7:19 KJV
I think it is very important to understand what it means, when you say "I glorify God, or I give glory to God". What you're saying is, "I lift up my sins, my filthiness even the things that are hidden from the human eyes I lift up to God". And giving God glory is important because what you're saying to him is: "Lord despite what and who I am, I'm trusting you to fix it. Fix me." Even though at this point I am weak in this area, I'm trusting you to strengthen that I sin no more. Ai was punished in the old testament way for his sin. And he knew he would be, but he still gave God glory. So, how much more should we be willing to reveal i our wickedness to God? It should come easy.
