Expectations after Paraguard

So I had my IUD placed on September 12th and it went really well and I was loving it. I had a little bit of spotting and cramping for around a week after and then nothing. Fast forward to next month and it’s my first period with the IUD..... I feel like death. I have never had cramps this bad I assume they are from the paraguard but I used to be on hormonal bc so this might just be normal cramps you can solve with a heating pad. What I want to know is has anyone experienced like really excessive bleeding.... I’m talking like bleeding through a super+ tampon in 2 hours? Not yet regretting it but kinda worried.Thoughts?
