Birth control

I’m not on birth control and my bf wants me to get on it but I don’t want to put hormones in my body and getting a cooper iud I head will make my period worse I told him to wrap it but he said he won’t cum if he does so I dontknow am I being a bitch for not wanting to be on birth control or at I being fair ? Help

update: I have tried birth control by the way i forgot to mention I was on the pill and it made me fat moody and my skin bad I hated it I felt so much better when I got off that’s what I’m scared of is feeling that way again .
