Contractions ?

I know what BH contractions are as I've been having them since 22 wks, but what do real contractions feel like? I've been having constant dull ache or period cramps in my low pelvic and back. I've also been loosing my mucus plug/bloody show since Tuesday around 130pm. It's about a teaspoon everytime i pee.? I'm 2cm and 75%, I'm 37 wks.

Honestly I didn’t realize what contractions were because everything I read said it was constant pain in your lower stomach and back.. well my contractions were literally period cramps!!

I only had like 2 or 3 heavier contractions before my water broke and then everything started happening very fast! I also had BH and I could tell the difference, although I'd say my contractions weren't painful until they were like a minute apart (which was less than 2 hours after my water broke). I would describe BH as a little tightening that would occasionally take my breath away, and real contractions were heavy and much stronger. They may not start out that way for some, but mine did. They came on fast and we're strong enough to wake me from a dead sleep at 1:30am, but I didn't think they were painful. I felt that period-like dull ache for 2 days before my water broke (I was 1cm and 80% at my appointment 2 days before and I think my dr accidentally scraped my membranes because it was way more painful than a normal check and I bled afterwards)

Try timing them. If theyre consistent than it can 've the beginning. It felt like period cramps at first then bad period cramp. Then actual knife stabbing pain . Lol joking but you'll know when it gets real lol
