Baby shower culture and registry question!

Hello ladies, I have a registry on Amazon because they have most of the things I need and it's the easiest for me. For older crowed that will attend my baby shower, do you think I should open a registry in an actual store? Do they expect to walk in a store and pick up something from my registry? I'm not familiar with the tradition since I wasn't born in the U.S. so it's all new! I know that people usually bring actual gifts to the party itself, so that probably won't work with my Amazon registry since the whole point of it is that it's designed to be sent to my address.

I want to make it comfortable for my guests to pick up my registry items.. thanks in advance for your advice!
