What I wanted... what I got!!!!

Question

I got my first tattoo done 2 weeks ago while visiting my mom in pa! I told the artist what I wanted but didn't have a picture to show him; then decided to let him do his own work but I picked the colors!
I am so happy i let him do his own art work and not what i originally wanted!! I mean it kinda looks like what i wanted but sooo much better❤️

I had no reference photos or anything. I honestly just told him everything I wanted in the tattoo and he drew it up. I trusted his work so much that I didn’t even see the sketch of my tattoo till day of and let me tell you. It was far far more better then what I could ever imagine. I absolutely love it!!

He also redid my arm piece and added watercolor.

And my third tattoo, in memory of my grandpa who was also the man who raised me and was my adopted dad. He had served in the Navy and was proud of it. He also liked horses and was known as the man with the cowboy hat when I was growing up 😂. That’s how my friends referred to him. His saying was “You can’t fix stupid” but his nicer saying was “Be good to yourself” So that’s what I got. 
Some people don’t catch it right away but the U in USN is a horse shoe.

This tattoo was my most painful physically and emotionally. But I love it. Everyone who told me not to get it and said he’d hate it have turned around completely. Saying they love it and that he would be proud of it. I believe he would’ve been. 
I told Tony what I wanted and he did it so much better then I pictured. 
I refuse to go to any other artist. Tony is the ONLY artist I’ll go to and I always recommend him. :)

Let my artist have total free range ! All I told him was I wanted roses and for it to be on the right side of my back👌🏽 we even went back and added more vines to the top of it,which sadly I don’t have a photo of.

That’s how my tattoo was. I showed him what I wanted and he added a few things for personalization I.e. used salt and pepper shading
