Rotavirus vaccine
My 2 month old got the oral rotavirus vaccine today. He spit up a little while after the dose and I cleaned it with a face wipe. The nurse said to be very careful after changing his diaper but she didn't say anything about his saliva. I've been kissing him all day since then (like always). Now I am reading all these threads about not kissing my baby and being careful of his saliva?
Can someone who has information on this help me answer these questions:
1. Can I get sick from my baby's vaccine? I never had rotavirus as a child.
2. How could I possibly get sick from his saliva if he isn't getting sick from swallowing a whole dose?
3. Do I need to be careful of his saliva on my breast after feeding him?
Thanks!!
