Vaginal delivery after c-section

I am 5 weeks pregnant, I have not been to the dr yet, so I have not been able to discuss this with my OBGYN. Just looking for opinions or anyone having the same experience and it turning out successful for them.

I had my son almost two years ago, I had to have an emergency c-section because I only dilated to 3cm and I was in labor for so long that it caused an infection. I really don’t want to have another c-section with this baby. I want to experience birth vaginally. I guess I was just wondering if anyone who had a past c-section was able to have a successful delivery with the next baby vaginally. Is there any reason I wouldn’t be able to do so ?
