8 months 4 hour drive?

Over the holidays am I really gonna be up for a 4 hour drive to see family & friends? 😐

at 8 months I was so over travel. if you feel good go for it.

At 8mos I had a 2hr drive and got soooooo swollen. If you can take breaks and keep your feet elevated.

Honestly I wouldn’t travel 4 hours away at 8 months pregnant. If you really want to go, talk to your doctor and make sure to take breaks on the road so you aren’t swelling or uncomfortable. Hopefully your family will understand.

It’s really up to you. If you don’t want to, I don’t blame you and I definitely understand. It also depends how far along you are. If you’re in your third trimester you can just be like “umm sorry but I’m not going to be that far away from home just in case anything happens 🤷🏻‍♀️”

I leave tomorrow to go say good bye to my grandma forever.  Not her funeral but her deathbed. I am 36w5 and I know this is my only chance to make my peace. It kills me she won't meet my miracle baby 10 years in the making. But I got the ok from my OB and he is head of the hospitals OBGYN unit. It's 6 hours there and then 6 back. We leave Friday and come home Sunday. No regrets. 😢

You most likely will get very uncomfortable sitting in the car.  You’re driving back i assume so thats really 8 hours of driving.  I wouldnt want to be that far from my doctors office that far along.

I’ll be 8 months at Xmas and we’re driving 7 hours to visit family. Doc says it’s fine.

I wouldn't that's so close to labor and honestly I just had a 1.5 drive one way for a funeral and my body killed! It hurt so bad just that short period of time. I was further a long though. I think they should understand. Honestly you may want to check to see if your OB is even ok with you going that far.
