Flu shot while pregnant?

My OB mentioned me getting a flu shot since I will be delivering during flu season. (January 11) I've never had the shot before and never had the flu. I know our immune system is different while pregnant. Do most people get the shot? Or no? I'm nervous about it.

Most people do get it Yes, I did not. With my first pregnancy or this one. It's just my personal choice, they try to push it. Do your research and do what is best for you.

I never got the flu shot until i was in the military and they made us. Once i got out, i dont get them. Won't be getting it either. Ive gotten the flu once my whole life. Usually dont even get sick besides allergies.

Just got mine at 26 weeks. Doc recommended my husband get his as well. Better safe than sorry - I can’t imagine the anguish of watching my newborn suffer through the flu. If you’re feeling nervous I would talk to your doctor or nurse practitioner about it. Totally understandable that you want to be careful about what goes in your body with baby in there. Hopefully they can help you lay some fears to rest.
