iud help

hey y'all so I had an ultrasound Tuesday because my IUD strings were no where to be found. well according to the ultrasound the IUD is still in place however my Dr didn't say anything about how long I should wait for my strings to uncurl(assuming that's what happened since it's still in place) if I should check again or anything like that. so any advice from other IUD users? I'm gonna call the nurse on Monday and ask if I need to make a follow up appointment or not. until then I'd just like advice.
