How controversial can we get?

What haven’t we talked about in CC?
We have beaten a few dead horses in this group and we’ve done it a heck of a lot.
But what are we missing? I don’t mind debating because it’s actually fun. Although some don’t want to have a healthy debate.
But if all topics were open what would you want to bring up in CC?

There is plenty that we can talk about, but the problem is that any time I see a topic that is truly controversial the only replies to the topic are like “this is too close to home for me”, “I don’t like the wording of this post”, “this made me cry”, “This isn’t an appropriate topic to debate about”, “this seems very blablabla” etc. A lot of people on here get uncomfortable very easy with what I personally to consider to be tame topics, but that’s because I’m desensitized. 
Topics that could be considered controversial that I’ve seen frequently on Reddit but not here:
Whether Otherkin today is meaning a community that stemmed in the 90s or has completely evolved from its own different internet territory and whether the two actually coincide with each other or not
Fictionkin’s meaning in general
The effects of veganism based on statistics, not feelings or opinions
“Gatekeeping” - think one person in a group who speaks for them all. “As a trans person I can tell you that no trans person would ever think x” which in turn angers a trans person who does think x, debate about if gatekeeping should be taken literally or not ensues (“I didn’t literally mean that no person would blablabla obviously there are outliers”. 
The outlier results themselves in research/studies commonly credited on posts here. 
Ableist related topics. 
Etc. 
I would say something that I have heavily noticed on here is that there are very few topics about ableism in our society. A lot of people here like to think of themselves as allies for multiple minority groups when I’ve only seen a VERY select few stand up when they notice very ableist terms or ways of thinking. I believe that in itself would be a good topic to discuss and look at further.

From my point of view, this is a forum for informal debate. If it is not at least entertaining in some way it is not interesting to comment on. I am not surprised that some topics get a lot of attention and others fall a little flat.. that is the nature of social media. I am also not surprised there are topics that are banned because again, it is not real debate. Ben Shapiro, a librarian conservative speaker is know to say “Facts don’t care about your feelings”, and there are a lot of feelings on CC. ((And I am not asking for your feelings on Ben Shapiro, I am only using him for the one quote))
In real debate people prepare their argument usually with personal research that takes a reasonable amount of time and also do counter research to combat the other side. Here on CC I mostly see people site articles from the internet... which is fine, it is informal debate, but I think for anyone to consider that most arguments here don’t come from an emotional place would be an error. 
I see things get personal and passive aggressive all the time on CC.. I think we all need to remember this is a social app first and foremost and not take ourselves too seriously on topics that people are going to get passionate about.. we are all only human at the end of the day.

That 75,000 Black Woman and Girls are missing in the United States and most people can't even name one of those women/girls' names. The media would rather follow what the Kardashians are doing or what Trump has tweeted. I understand we have serious issues going on that need to be addressed, but how has this not been one of them?!?!? It's infuriating! We have to be better!

International civil rights, particularly in the Middle East. I don't know why people act like social justice is such an issue in the US when women in the Middle East are treated as subhuman and LGBT people are rounded up like cattle and executed.
