So its Sunday and baby boy isn't showing signs of being ill so I don't want to rush him to the ER for no reason. But he is only 6months old and these splotches just popped up outta the blue! Anyone have any idea of what it could be? Or if I should be ok till the a.m. to call his doctor? He is acting completely normal. So was hoping someone else experienced this b4.

Has he had any new foods? Could it be an allergic reaction or eczema? I would get it checked out by a doctor, but as long as there are no other symptoms and he's breathing ok, I think it would be fine to wait til tomorrow. You can always call an on-call nurse today just to be on the safe side. If he's in day care, I would get it checked out by a doctor before taking him. I work at a Head Start center and we would have the parent bring in a doctor's note just to be sure the rash isn't contagious.
