The baby wants to be with mom only when comes the time to go sleeping

I have a baby almost 4 months old, every evening she want to fall asleep only in my arms, if her dad tries to calm her down she gets even more angry and cries alot, its a tough situation for the dad and me because im grounded at home and cant leave the house at night, and also it very frustrating for my husband that his baby doesn't want to be with him, do you have any solutions for us that have worked for you? But please solutions that doesn't involve cry it out.
