HELP! I'm scared

i need help! so on the app it saying i sould have my period in 4 to 5 days. i have my period every 23 to 28 days , bur right now i went to the bathroom and my pee was normal looking but when I wiped my discharged was dark and I've never had it like that before and I'm cramping a little bit right now. and after my last period my and my (now ex boyfriend) did have unprotected sex. but I'm scared to take a test. So should i wait and see if i get my period or go get a test?
