Cravings?

Question

A friend told me that cravings are just in your head and they're not scientifically backed. As a first time mama, due in early June, I'm just looks for insight from others... expecting mamas and experienced mamas. 
I am about eight weeks and really really want to leave for pizza now, and its after midnight. Haha.

I think the cravings are real. I'm craving sour dough bread like what? Why sour dough bread? I never think you know what I want some bread not until I got pregnant.

The cravings are real for me! Lol. I go through phases where the thought of eating vegetables make me nauseous and I seem to crave food I had as a child but never eat anymore... I went through this with my first pregnancy and by the second trimester I felt normal again and didn't have weird cravings/food aversions.

I think they're real. With my first I craved processed crap American cheese so hard. I NEVER eat that junk but it was like manna from heaven when I was pregnant with her. 😂

Everything is all in your head. You perception of reality, pain, hunger, fear etc. everything you experience is in your head. If you are lacking a certain nutrient your body/brain can often makes you crave foods high in that nutrient (this happens pregnant or otherwise).
