My 4 month old son weight 12 lbs is this normal?

Is he good weight? He was born 6 pounds. I havent been to his 4 month check up yet, so just trying to see if his weight is normal for his age. Thanks!

My daughter was 15.6 pounds and 26.5 inches long at her 4 month appointment. She was in the 75th percentile for Wright and 99th percentile for height.

It's recommend for babies to double their birth weight by six months and triple it by a year. It sounds like he's on track and growing on his own pace, however his pediatrician will have the best knowledge. My lo was in the 10th percentile at her one month, and up to 12th her second month havevisit.

my son just went for his appointment and he's 15 pounds but he was 8 at birth so it may be different!

My son was born 5lb6oz and at his 4 month check up (which was about a week after he turned 4 months) he was 13lb4oz. Not all babies grow the same. I’m sure he is right on track for his growth. And that’s really all that matters.

my daughter was almost 7lbs and weighed 14 at her 4 month check up its normal i thought she was heavy for her age but nope shes right on track

My daughter was born 6 lbs 10 oz and at 1 month old she weighs 10 pounds 
So 12 pounds at 4 months seems small to me but it could be normal idk I’m not an expert lol. All babies are different though some babies are just naturally small and some are  really chubby
