Is it normal to not finish during sex?

I've been intimate with my boyfriend for a few months now and neither of us have been able to finish during sex. I was a virgin before him so it can be a bit discouraging when it's not working. 
I know the goal of sex is to enjoy it and not to finish, but it would be really nice to. Any tips or advise on how to over come this problem?

it took a while for me and my current bf to get to the level of sexual closeness? that we are at now. at the beginning i thought we were never going to have great sex bc it was easier with other guys. don't give up yet

are you to doing much foreplay? try foreplay for majority of it switch it to oral and once he gets it in switch possitions moan if ur liking it dont hold them it coz you think you will sound silly 😉 maybe use need to start off with sex and finish eachother off with oral switch it up girl use will get there
