Having baby with PCOS success story! πŸ˜ƒ

Faith&Music β€’ 31 years old, Christian wife and mom. TTC. Currently on a health and weightloss journey. 30 lbs down and counting. I WILL get there! πŸ˜€

I remember crying as the months went by mot understanding why I wasn't getting pregnant. Yeah sure I am a big girl but I wanted a baby, pretty bad. At the year mark I went to the doc which sent me to am endometriologist and they ran tests. Hormones were off which suggested that I had PCOS. Great, just what I wanted to hear. After that I went at it hard trying to figure out what would help. They said diet and exercise to lose weight. Well yeah but having a slight insulin problem doesn't exactly help me any, but I tried anyways. Started eating more vegetables and fruit smoothies, and less junk, tho I did eat out several times a week still. Didn't know how to add the exercise yet and was good with that. Instead I focused on nutrition, the "get healthy to lose weight" instead of "lose weight to get healthy" point of view. After some research and plenty of time on Glow, someone mentioned this supplement called Pregnitude. I knew I had to have it and found out a local walgreens carried it (the Pregnitude website has a store locator). About 40 dollars but I managed and after 3 months of taking that and some fish oil and vitamin D, I regulated my periods for the first time in my life! I took it for a 4th month but after that couldn't afford it anymore and instead switched to Prenatals, fish oil and bluegoodness smoothies from Bolthouse Farms. 4 months later, I was pregnant!!! And oh was I paranoid and anxious after that since it took me 19 months of trying and years of unprotected sex without trying. After only 8 months of focusing on nutrition, even while still eating aome bad stuff, i was able to conceive and carry to full term and have no complications other than mild gestational diabetes and severe morning sickness lol. About 4 months before i got pregnant i started going to the gym cause i read intense exercise helps u ovulate too. But I couldn't stick with the exercise and stopped 2 months later. Even still I was able to get pregnant, and I believe it's cause i focused on nutrition and stress relief when I could, and on top of that I know God heard my prayers and figured that the time was right. But there's nothing wrong with giving him something better to work with lol. I hope this helps someone, i posted another post about the type of diets i have been trying to follow and I believe are the key to lessening symptoms and even curing infertility in some cases, and I have lost 23 pounds so far with only occasional exercise. Good luck to all! ❀
