What's the worst advice you've taken?

Amanda

I used to be very naive, still naive, but discerning. My brother's friend gave me advice before entering college: as long as you show up to class, you'll get a C. To my lazy 18 year old self, that was awesome news! I did some homework, bombed tests and quizzes, but went to class. I had to retake Calculus.

The worst advice I ever took was not to report my high school rapist to the police. My former friends at the time were more concerned about how our football team would fare without him than justice for what he put me through for 5 months of hell. I felt so alone and worthless that I let him get away with what he did to me on multiple occasions because I couldn’t fathom being abandoned by my friends on top of how hopeless I felt after what he did to me.

My eldest has autoimmune issues because of it. If we had clean options I wouldn't be a proponent of not vaccinating, but we dont.
