4 days early
Here goes my birth story (finally)!
It’s the morning after Halloween. I woke up at 6am to get my son ready for school. Hubby and son left for school and work at 7am. I couldn’t sleep so I took out my lap top to browse target sales. I started to notice pelvic pressure and my stomach tightening. It’s happened before so I ignore it. Every 5-6 minutes I keep feeling it so I started googling symptoms if it’s false or early Labor. I start timing these symptoms and it starts to be more consistent. 7:45a I call labor and delivery to confirm my symptoms and nurse said it’s probably contractions and for me to eat/drink something and take a warm shower (that wasn’t happening), and come in if it gets worse within an hour or so. 8am I called hubby to come home cause I’m probably in labor. He was already across town and would take another hour to get home. I called my sister to skip school and take me to hospital. She got to my house an hour later! My pelvic pressure gets more intense and starts to feel painful to a point where I can’t talk or move. We got to hospital around 9:15a
and checked in and husband met us there just in time. Few minutes later I got a room and nurse checked my cervix at 9.5 cm! I immediately asked for epidural or ANYTHING to help the intense pain but it was too late! 😩 At around 10am nurse asked me if I would like to try pushing and I said, yes let’s do it! I wanted this Labor to be over with! A few pushes and 10 minutes later we welcomed our new baby girl in to this world. This experience was surreal. My lips are blue from biting so hard while pushing but I don’t care! I did not want to lag with this pain. I pushed as hard as I could and it paid off! If I stayed at home an hour longer I would have had my baby at home. Fastest labor ever! Baby girl weighed 8.14 lbs and was 20 inches long! We love you so much! 💕
