Birth Story!

Tandi

As my LO is off getting her weight rechecked. Here is finally our birth story! First of all I was due Oct. 28th with our rainbow baby girl. That day quickly came and went. Throughout my pregnancy I always joked with my husband saying I was gonna have her on his birthday (nov. 2) and he would just laugh it off. 😂 November 1st rolled around and about 3 am I started having contractions. They were strong and steady. I got up took a shower and decided to labor at home till about 4:30 pm. The pains were just to intense. Get to the hospital and contractions are about 2-3 minutes apart but my cervix wasn’t responding to the contractions. Around 5 am on November 2nd they checked me again and I was about 4cm dilated so they gave me my epidural and broke my water to help speed things along. 9 am pitocin was started and I was 5 cm dilated. 10 am pitocin was turned down because baby’s heart rate would drop with each contraction. 12:30pm I was checked and completely ready to go! (Wait, what?!) yeah i had went from 5 to 10 in a little over 3 hours! So we started pushing right then. 1 pm my epidural had worn off and the bag was empty and I was starting to feel everything. But Dr assured me that I was almost there and didn’t need to reload. WRONG. I pushed baby girl out at 2:51 pm with no pain meds at all! OUCH! But she is 100% worth it and doing great!
