So I had a missed miscarriage (discovered at 12 week appointment after hearing a strong heartbeat at 8 weeks) that resulted in both a natural miscarriage and a D&C.; It was heartbreaking, esp. as our first pregnancy.

The D&C; was on 10/17. We got the traditional 2 weeks “no sex” directions. I was supposed to have a follow up appointment to get the “all-clear” on 10/30, but my Dr had to cancel that day until 11/7.

I hadn’t spotted for the entire 2nd week and didn’t have any sort of complications or pain...I didn’t even take Advil after the first day... so that ship sailed (without the Doctor’s ok). I’m obviously going to tell my Dr on Tuesday, but my husband and I needed to reconnect and in the moment I didn’t feel like waiting was necessary

How much should I worry about this? The biggest risk is just an infection, right? If I get pregnant again... am I setting up myself for another miscarriage?
