I'm a dental assistant and in the USA and we say to bring them in when all of their primary teeth are in so that puts it at around age 2-3 depending on your child's oral development. As long as you're brushing in morning and at night there's no problem usually. My oldest will be 5 this week and I still brush his teeth myself because I see too many kids that age that parents allow them to brush and they have cavities or need baby crowns because they aren't responsible enough to brush correctly. Teeth are an important part of development and although baby teeth come out they do need them healthy for the years they do have them.

What my dentist suggested was to bring him with me when I had a short visit and have him sit on my lap just to show him to not be afraid but she said to wait longer for a actual visit for him.

my son was on an iron supplement that was staining his teeth. I was worried so I went, they were able to get all the discoloration off and it made me feel a lot better! it was a good visit over all!

She had a first visit at 12 Months and they did x-rays ! They said everything was good ! At that appointment she had 4 Teeth’s and 2 breaking through .she has an appointment this month and hopefully everything goes good she has 6 teeths 1 breaking through and 2 molars already
