Blood after getting fingered??

So I have been fingered a number of times and everything was all good. But this time my bf told me that my "fluids" (I have no clue how to describe that lmao) were light brownish rather than clear (as they usually are). I'm very considerate of my hygiene down there and everything appeared to be fine - no smells/weird discharge. But I recently got off of my period- 2 days before- and was wondering if that could have had anything to do with it? Someone please help lol
