Birth control options?

Hi ladies, I'm going to see my obgyn in a few days for my annual and I'm planning on getting back on birth control for the first time in two years (I was engaged previously and we were letting pregnancy happen if it happened). I want to know what are you ladies on and what are your experiences?

*I've taken the mini pill before and I felt like it wasn't very preventative.

*I had the Nexplanon implant and that was a nightmare.

*I have no interest in an IUD or any other implant.
